Question: On what architectural structure can you find the above detail?

Answer:  The Ennis House (Los Angeles, CA) is a home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for Charles and Mabel Ennis in 1923, and was built in 1924. The home is constructed of interlocking concrete blocks (such as in the photo), and is the fourth and largest of Wright’s textile block designs. These blocks and their patterns were inspired Mayan architecture. The home has appeared in over a dozen films including House of Haunted Hill, The Day of the Locust, and Blade Runner.
