Affordable Housing
Providing design for housing that is affordable to a wide range of owners and occupants is a responsible part of our practice. The projects range from individual single family homes to multifamily and adaptive reuse projects designed for rental and purchase. A consistent goal is to develop designs that express dignity and individuality, and that are sensitive to the needs of the end user. Good project planning coupled with building design that is efficient and organized allows the projects to be constructed in a cost-effective manner. This, in turn, allows the housing to be provided to the market at a reasonable cost.

Green Earth
PHA master planned the site for both single-family and multi-family housing with the developer. In addition to the master plan, each of the single-family residences was modified according to solar orientation to maximize energy efficiency. The homes were evaluated for compliance with Earth Craft design criteria, and each of the homes met or exceeded these criteria.
The Waterworks
Pimsler Hoss Architects coordinated the conversion of industrial land to commercial zoning to facilitate a condominium development in Atlanta on Howell Mill Road. Twenty-two units, loft style in design with open floor plans and two bedrooms, were developed. The architects provided site planning, design / documentation and contract administration services for both phases of the project.
