EXPERIENCE
Upon graduation, Mr. Hoss interned with Barrett Associates, Architects, and gained experience in design, presentation, and construction documents for numerous large-scale commercial and institutional projects. He later joined William Howell and Associates as an associate architect and gained extensive experience in all phases of architectural practice with direct responsibility for residential and commercial projects. After a year of travel and study, Mr. Hoss began a five-year association with architect Anthony Viscardi, collaborating on numerous design build projects that included several experimental investigations with local, national, and international artists. In 1981, after travel abroad, the architectural firm Hoss/Viscardi and Company was established and continued for nine years to develop a portfolio of successful projects, including several which received design awards and publication. In 1991, Mr. Hoss joined with Randy Pimsler to combine their individual skills and experience to form Pimsler Hoss Architects.

Mr. Hoss is an experienced senior designer and manager with an extensive background in master planning, design, and project management for a wide range of project types including residential, commercial, institutional, recreational, and public projects. His responsibilities include design and design direction, project management, quality control, budget management and multi-professional coordination for design and bid documents.

Mr. Hoss has provided design direction for several award-winning projects. Some of these projects include an Atlanta Urban Design Commission Award of Excellence for the Swift Company Lofts, an AIA Sustainable Design Award for the Southface Energy Institute and AIA Planning and Design Award for the Douglas Georgia Downtown Revitalization Plan.

Exhibiting leadership beyond his architectural practice, Mr. Hoss is active in his community as Head Instructor in Atlanta for the non-profit Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts Association, providing instruction in self-defense and fitness for adults and children.

Sensitivity to the issues, goals and concerns for each project, and a keen ability to understand a client's needs, and translate them into a design that is a unique architectural solution is a strength provided for Pimsler Hoss Architects by Mr. Hoss.
