Adaptive reuse of existing buildings gives new life to structures that have outgrown their original intended use. The work is challenging but can reveal remarkable new visions with a creative balance of the existing, often historic, character and the intervention of new architecture. Adaptive reuse is also sustainable architecture as it recycles existing building stock for new use.
