Restaurant Design
Restaurant design can be a demanding and exciting challenge. The image developed in the design often contributes significantly to the success of the restaurant. The complexity of effective kitchen and food service planning is essential to an efficient operation. PH/A has enjoyed designing several distinctive restaurants, from fast food eateries to fine dining establishments.

Athens Steam Pub
As an essential part of the Foundry Park Inn and Spa in Athens, Georgia, the Pub is a rennovation of the Civil War era cannon foundry forge and work shed. The building's wedge shape is the result of being partially demolished to make way for raod widening in the 1970's. Although previously used as a bar, all the building's finishes and fixtures were replaced, and new kitchen and support spaces were constructed.

Enoteca Carbonari
Located in Midtown Atlanta , Enoteca Carbonari's specializes in wine, meat, and cheese. The owners of the restaurant wanted it to have an "old world" flare and to blend with their other restaurant Baraonda next door, while at the same time having a more sophisticated feel and developing its own identity.

Hoyt House
The centerpiece of the Foundry Park Inn, the Hoyt House Restaurant is a fine dining destination for both hotel and conference attendies as well as the general public. The structure was built in 1829 as a residence for Nathan Hoyt. Time and neglect had rendered it uninhabitable and its first renovation was in the 1970's. During the current rennovation, the structure was taken down to its frame, reinforced and rebuilt with all new systems and finishes, and strengthened to meet modern structural codes. All new kitchen equipment was installed and it was designed to include amenities such as an outdoor dining area, private dining room and attic wine room.

Johnny Rockets
PH/A provided complete architectural and engineering services for the Johnny Rockets theme restaurant located in Gwinnett Place Mall just outside of Atlanta. The restaurant design complied with the Johnny Rockets corporate design requirements and the mail design standards.

Modavi
The owner of Modav i- a restaurant in Alpharetta, Ga - wanted the architecture of his restaurant to be evocative and representative of the style of food served. The restaurant refrences traditional old world style with a new wave attitude.

Sylvia's
Sylvia's Restaurant of Harlem, New York is a well known, family-owned restaurant. Its walls are lined with photographs of famous celebrities who have enjoyed Sylvia's sophisticated, yet down-home cooking. The restaurant in Atlanta designed by PH/A, is the first new Sylvia's tp be built. Located in downtown Atlanta, the design projects an updated and contemporary vision for Sylvia's while maintaining a warm and comfortable feeling.
